BABY'S BLUE PLATE SPECIAL

The classic American Blue Plate Special gets a makeover for baby. To make it fast and easy to prepare, as you're cooking food for the rest of the family, simply save out portions of meat, rice and vegetables to use for this recipe.

1 cup steamed vegetables

1 cup cooked ground beef, chicken or turkey (unseasoned)

1/2 cup steamed rice

1/4 cup water

1.	Steam the rice in a rice steamer or according to package directions.
2.	In a blender or food processor, purée the vegetables, ground meat and rice to make a smooth mixture.
3.	Divide purée into 1- to 2-tablespoon portions, and use immediately or freeze.
