    The recipe makes terrific food for baby, but it's so tasty, you might just want to hoard the leftovers for eating with pita or raw carrots.

    Makes about 2 cups or 32 tablespoons
    Prep time: 5 minutes
    Total time: 15 minutes

    1 cup green peas (fresh or frozen)
    1 cup canned chickpeas
    1 Tbsp flat-leaf parsley, chopped (optional)
    1/4 cup whole-milk yogurt
    1 Tbsp lemon juice (optional)
    1 Tbsp olive oil
    1 Tbsp tahini (sesame paste)

    1. Cook peas in a steamer over boiling water for about 4 minutes, or microwave with 1 tablespoon of water for 4 minutes.
    3. In a food processor or blender, combine cooked peas, beans, parsley, yogurt, lemon juice, olive oil and tahini. Purée until smooth.
    4. Divide purée into 1- to 2-tablespoon portions, and use immediately or freeze.
