Maybe baby can't eat just like everyone else for Thanksgiving, but this tasty purée makes the most of the leftovers. Skip the purée step for toddlers.

Makes about 1 1/2 cups or 24 tablespoons

Total time: 15 minutes

1 tsp vegetable oil
1/4 cup diced onions
1/2 cup chopped roasted turkey
1/4 cut green beans or peas (fresh or frozen)
1/2 cup unseasoned roasted (or steamed) sweet potatoes
1/4 cup water

1. In a skillet, heat the oil and sauté the onions with the beans or peas until tender, about 10 minutes.
2. Add in the roasted turkey, sweet potatoes and water. Bring the mixture to a boil and simmer for 5 minutes.
4. For younger babies (6-9 months), use a blender or food processor to purée the mixture. Otherwise, simply use a fork to mash the pulp.
5. Divide into 1- to 2-tablespoon portions, and use immediately or freeze.
