This smoked mozzarella is made for us in the Bronx by Neapolitan artisan Franco Spatola, who has been dubbed the "godfather of cheese." Each piece is bathed in hickory liquid smoke, which gives it a caramel color and a pumped up milky flavor. It's delicious on its own, or you can add it to salads, sandwiches, and other cheesy dishes.
