What You’ll Need:

For the infused vodka:
4–5 fresh plums, sliced
One 750 ml bottle vodka

For the cocktail:
2 oz plum-infused vodka
1 oz simple syrup
1/2 oz Cointreau
1 oz lime juice

What To Do:

Pour vodka into a clean quart container or other lidded vessel and add the sliced plums. Cover and let sit in a cool, dark place for 2 days.

Once infused, use an immersion blender to pulverize the plums in the vodka. Set a fine mesh strainer over another vessel and pour in the blended vodka to strain out the solids.

Place 2 oz of the plum vodka, simple syrup, Cointreau, and lime juice in a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake well, then strain into a chilled martini glass. Serve with a lime wedge on the rim.

About the Recipe

The plumopolitan is a fruity and refreshing cocktail you can make with fresh summer plums. Any variety of plums or plumcots will do, but we highly recommend one of the crimson-fleshed varieties from Family Tree Farms, like the Flavor Gator or Summer Punch plumcots. This will give your cocktails an eye-catching hue!
