Fuyu Persimmons

It looks like a tomato, it's eaten like an apple and it tastes like a sweet pumpkin. If you think fruits shouldn't taste like vegetables, the Fuyu persimmon will change your mind. The Fuyu can be eaten while it's still firm, or even crisp. Don't bother peeling. Just bite in. It's mildly sweet and won't make you pucker like its cousin, the Hachiya persimmon.
