We turned our favorite cookie into an easy dessert that’s almost too gorgeous to eat.
What You’ll Need
1 container of Oreo Chocolate Sandwich Cookies
3/4 cup butter, divided
3/4 cup heavy cream
8 oz dark chocolate chips
What To Do
The Crust: Using a food processor blend about 10 ounces (or 3/4 of the package) in your food processor until the cookies are a fine crumb texture. Slowly add in 1/2 cup of the butter and blend until combined. Pour the mixture into your tart pan and press evenly around the pan and up the edges. Freeze for about 20 minutes. We used a large circular tart pan, but this recipe works with all shapes and sizes from square to personal size!
The Filling: Bring the heavy cream and a 1/4 cup of butter to a boil in a saucepan. Once it begins to bubble, remove from heat. Add 7 ounces of the chocolate chips and stir vigorously until fully combined. Let cool for about 5 minutes then pour the mixture into crust; decorate with extra chips and cookies; enjoy!
