Piel del Sapo Melon

The piel de sapo melon is filled with creamy, yellowish flesh, similar to a honeydew but with more sweetness. Its name means "toad skin" in Spanish (the fruit is popular in Spain) - a fitting description for its rough, yellow-green outer surface. Any cracks or lines are simply a sign that the melon is ready to eat. Each bite is juicy and refreshing: slice it up to enjoy on its own or within a mixed fruit salad.
