This colorful plumcot (a plum-apricot hybrid) runs a bit larger than most plums, and the red and orange speckled skin holds juicy yellow flesh. With a plum's sweet-but-tangy taste and tropical flavor notes reminiscent of ripe mango, the plumcot has a thicker skin for a crisp bite. Add to that some of an apricot's complex, fruity-spicy flavor, and you have one of the best fruits going. The explosive flavor is excellent for snacking, fruit salads or simple desserts. Plan ahead! Our plumcots will arrive firm. They'll soften in 3-5 days at room temperature, or you can speed up the process by storing them in a paper bag. When your plumcots yield to gentle pressure, they're ready.
