We have combined traditional cultivating techniques from China, Japan, and South Korea with modern sustainable technologies to bring you the best mushrooms with minimal impact on the environment. Brown beech or buna shimeji are mushrooms native to East Asia. These mushrooms get their name from the fallen beech trees that they grow on. Brown beech mushrooms should be cooked before eating as the bitter taste of the raw mushroom gets cooked out and becomes a mildly sweet and nutty flavor.
