Angel's Envy Bourbon Whiskey
U.S.A.

Angel's Envy Kentucky Straight Bourbon is a small batch whiskey typically aged for up to 6 years and finished in port wine casks. The name refers to the 5% of spirit lost each year to evaporation, the angel's share; what's left behind after we're done is truly worthy of envy. Once it's deemed ready, we finish our bourbon in 60-gallon ruby port barrels made from French oak and imported directly from Portugal, which adds subtly distinct flavor nuances. The result is an enhanced whiskey of unprecedented smoothness, sweetness and balance. Our port finishing process lasts between three to six months, depending on taste—it's only Angel's Envy when we say it is. Angel's Envy is gold in color laced with reddish amber hues, nearly copper in tone. You'll detect notes of subtle vanilla, raisins, maple syrup and toasted nuts on the nose. Flavors of vanilla, ripe fruit, maple syrup, toast and bitter chocolate come together and finish with a clean and lingering sweetness and a hint of Madeira that slowly fades. (from Angel's Envy)
