1952 is the top wine of the Sampietrana estate in southern Italy's Puglia region, and one of our favorite values in red wine. The Brindisi Riserva is made up of Negroamaro and is aged in oak barriques for a year. It is intensely ruby red in color, with flavors of red berries and hints of vanilla. With a delicate structure and lengthy finish, the wine is an ideal companion for roasts, barbecue, pasta with meat sauce, game, and lightly spiced dishes.
