Thanks to warm, sunny days and cool lake-side nights—plus an acidic soil native to the Seneca Lake region—Concord grapes have the distinctive flavor of grape jam with a hint of tartness and a lush gush of sweet juice. The deep purple skin slips off when you bite into a Concord, revealing transparent flesh and tiny seeds. Concord grapes make delicious eating but can also be used for juice, jam, or wine.
