These small flavor bombs have more aliases than you can shake a stick at: Spanish lime, genip, quenepe, skinip...to name a few. When perfectly ripe, the pulp is sweetly acidic and tangy, and tastes like the lovechild of a lychee and a lime. We like to eat them fresh, right out of the skin, and suck on it for a while like a piece of nature's candy.
