Hepworth Farms Local Organic Kohlrabi
Sold out

Kohlrabi combines the texture of a broccoli stem with the taste of cauliflower and a hint of radish tang. That sounds complicated, but it's a simple, clean flavor that works raw or cooked, steamed or stir-fried. The leaves are also edible—they cook like kale and taste like cabbage. Established in 1818, Hepworth Farms is one of the premier organic growers in the Hudson Valley. Under the direction of sisters Amy and Gail Hepworth, this FreshDirect Partner Farm serves as a leader and inspiration for responsible and sustainable agriculture. Hepworth Farms preserves and maintains approximately 550 acres of biodiverse and nutrient-dense soil in Milton, New York, just 1.5 hours north of New York City. During their peak growing months from May through late November, they provide a full assortment of vegetables including tomatoes, beans, Brussels sprouts, cabbage, cucumber, eggplant, peppers, zucchini, lettuces, greens, roots, and squashes. Hepworth Farms also offers popular spring and summer farm shares.
