Avignonesi Cantaloro Organic Toscana Rosso

This entry level and easy drinking wine produced at the well-known and established Avignonesi Winery is aged in oak and stainless steel for 18 months. It is a versatile, young red wine ruby red in color and a bouquet characterized by inviting aromas of black cherry pie, black berries, thyme, red pepper grains and exotic spices. On the palate the fruity smooth wine is medium bodied with intermingling hints of undergrowth and menthol leading into a nice lingering dry finish. This blend of Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot are a lovely everyday drinking choice and would pair well with many classics from roast chicken to blackened fish. (from the vintner)
