Recipe: Brooklyn Bred pesto pizza
Brooklyn Bred pizza crusts are naturally fermented to create a deep flavor and light crust that's crisp on the outside yet tender to the bite. Give one a try with this basic recipe!
Ingredients:
1 Brooklyn Bred Pizza Crust
1/2 c pesto
1/4 c roasted tomatoes
1 tbsp grated Parmesan
1 c grated Mozzarella
2 oz cooked bacon or pancetta (optional)
1 tbsp chopped parsley
1 tbsp thinly sliced basil
1 tbsp olive oil (optional)
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 400 F (with a pizza stone if you have one).
Brush top of Brooklyn Bred Pizza Crust with pesto. Top evenly with tomatoes and cheeses.
Bake on a sheet pan until cheese melts, 4-5 minutes. For a crispier crust, bake on pizza stone or directly on oven rack.
Remove from oven and top with bacon or pancetta, if using. Let rest 2 minutes, then cut into triangles. Sprinkle over herbs and olive oil, if using, and serve right away.
