Bono Organic Sicilian PGI, Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Our Protected Geographical Indication (PGI) Organic Sicilian Extra Virgin Olive Oil is certified and guaranteed by the Italian Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Forest Policies. This regulation guarantees that the olives used to produce this EVOO were grown and harvested in Sicily, as well as produced and bottled on the island. The olives must also provide a max 24% yield and follow strict organic processes. The entire process, from when the olives begin to grow to the day the oil is bottled, is strictly monitored by IRVO (Istituto Regionale del Vino e dell'Olio) a certifying body controlled by the Italian government. Our factory then undergoes strict organoleptic and chemical testing in order to guarantee quality and traceability. Upon approval, each bottle is awarded its own unique serial number providing full traceability and authenticity, which is printed on the back of the bottle. (from BONO)
