Piñata Apples

Sold out
The Piñata apple is the result of crossing the Golden Delicious, Duchess of Oldenburg and Cox's Orange Pippin varietals. With red and orange streaked skin and a tall, elegant shape, the Piñata is an attractive apple. The flesh is white, fine-grained, and juicy. The flavor is a lovely blend of tropical notes of banana and vanilla balanced with a bright citrus tartness. We think this apple is best for snacking or eating raw in salads. And as for calling it "Piñata"? It's a mash-up of this apple's other known names, Pinova and Sonata.
