Also known as Dinosaur Kale. Lacinato kale tastes garden fresh and mildly bitter. This distinctive, tangy kale originated in Tuscany, where it's known as "cavalo nero" (black cabbage). Try Lacinato kale braised, or in a soup with white beans, garlic, and tomatoes.
