This festive dessert is perfect for serving at the end of a holiday meal: Preheat oven to 325. Line a baking sheet with parchment and coat with cooking spray. Peel and trim 4 pears. Use a melon baller to scoop out bottoms and seeds, creating a well. In a small bowl, combine 3 tbsp sugar and 1 tbsp cinnamon. Roll out 2 cans crescent roll dough and cut each in half to create 4 squares. Cut 1 tbsp butter into 4 pieces and place a piece in the center of each scooped our pear, along with 2 tsp cinnamon sugar. Place each pear, filled side up, on a dough square. Tuck corners of the dough into the center of the pears. Flip and place on lined sheet. In a bowl, whisk 1 egg, 1 tbsp water, and remaining cinnamon sugar. Brush mixture onto dough. Bake until golden and pears are tender 45-55 min. To serve, add to a bowl and top with ice cream, if desired.
