Au Bon Climat Chardonnay Santa Barbara

Au Bon Climat is a French term for "a well exposed vineyard site." Being that the winery is situated in The Bien Nacido Vineyard, one of the preeminent vineyards in Santa Barbara County, the name certainly fits. The brain child of master winemaker Jim Clendenen, this barrel-fermented Chardonnay is sourced from three great vineyard sites in Santa Barbara County—Bien Nacido, Rancho Vinedo and Los Alamos. A full-bodied Chardonnay that has mouth filling citrus fruit and a palate cleansing, bright finish. It will become richer and more complex with age. Enjoy with roast chicken, pasta with cream sauce, and rich seafood dishes. (from the vintner)
