Borgo Savaian is a family affair spanning three generations. The family focuses on farming indigenous varieties; farming practices are sustainable with a staunch commitment to operating as organically as possible. Aransat is Friulian slang for orange, although the wine is not fruity, per se. Natural yeasts are used for fermentation; the wine is unfiltered and only racked twice before bottling. With hints of dried peach, white tea, and cashews, Aransat is a versatile pairing with fleshier fish, roasted vegetables, and lighter roasted meats. (from the vintner)
